How to Find Keywords for YouTube Videos

In today’s video I’m going to show you how to find keywords for your YouTube videos.

It’s no secret that keyword research is a key first step for YouTube SEO. The problem is: most people choose the WRONG keywords.

Which is why I decided to create a video that shows you how to find video keywords. And also how to choose the best keywords for you.

Here’s a quick preview of what you’ll learn.

First, I’ll show you how to find keywords from competing channels. Yup, channels in your niche are GREAT sources for keywords. In fact, this is usually my first step whenever I need a keyword for a video.

Next, you’ll learn about a very cool free tool that you can use to find topics and keywords that are growing in popularity. But haven’t taken off yet. That way, you can be one of the first to create a video on that topic. Which is a HUGE advantage when it comes to SEO on YouTube.

The last section is how to use Chrome extensions like VidIQ and TubeBuddy. These tools can be valuable… if you know how to use them.

So yeah, by the end of this video you should know exactly how to find keywords for your YouTube videos. Enjoy!

It would be nice if you could tell us how you combine these things. Do you start with searching keywords while brainstorming video ideas? Or do you start with some idea in mind and try to adjust it into fitting keywords? How would you reconcile your personal interests you want to share on YouTube with search engine or audience interests?
